This has happened to me before, too. With 72 published novels, it was bound to.

But here's the difference. I have people who list my books on other sites for purchase, while still using my name and cover. They think some little offbeat sites can sell books better and at much higher prices than Amazon. Yeah, not gonna happen.

I've often wondered what these people are thinking. If I could sell my paperbacks for $52.00, I'd be doing it all day long. I can't. And neither can they. What fool would pay that much?

These days, I just ignore these people and their tiny bookselling sites, almost saying to myself, "If you can sell my book for $52.00, then more power to you!" Honestly, they aren't taking any money out of my pocket.

However, in your case, it's different. I can understand your feeling of being violated. But take this as consolation ... they aren't selling any copies of the plagiarized book at that price. If anyone is wasting their time, it's them.

Hang in there, and don't let this episode deter you from a career in writing. It goes with the territory.

Good luck, and keep writing.
